In 2010, Bev and Beth came together with an idea that was great for everyday use offering style, functionality and durability. Following 18 months of development, refinement, and testing, BANDI was launched in 2012.
We were able to first show the world our products at the 14th Annual Flying Pig Marathon in 2012.
Since our launch, we have been regular exhibitors at events like the Western and Southern ATP Tennis Tournament, Cincinnati Travel Sport and Boat Show, The Chicago Marathon and The Rolex 3 Day Event.
We attend wholesale trade shows in Atlanta, Las Vegas and New York where we enjoy sharing BANDI with potential retail store buyers across the country.
We found our first national media exposure on The Today Show in 2013. Soon after, BANDI was featured on Good Morning America, The View and HSN Deal Hunter.
Since 2012, we’ve added new lines every few years to provide our customers with products that meet their lifestyle needs. Kid's belts to assist children with Type 1 diabetes, the Large Pocket Belt for travel and larger phones, the Wrap for those who prefer a buckle-free belt or more pockets, and extenders accommodate those who need a few more inches for a great fit!
You can find us in over 300 retail stores across the country, locally at our Cincinnati Findlay Market, on our website, Amazon and on The Grommet.
Where's Bev Now?
At BANDI, Bev manages finished goods and raw material requirements along with inventory. She also works with fabric suppliers in search of great new prints to offer our customers, manages the wholesale division and attends trade shows who bring retailers interested in adding new products to sell.
A few years back, Bev pushed herself to carve out more personal time to get back into a regular exercise routine. She has proudly stuck with it and is loving every minute of it.
Her oldest son, Andrew, currently lives in Los Angeles and just completed his Jr. year of college. He will be interning in the music industry this summer. Daniel, Bev's youngest son, just graduated from high school and plans to take a gap year to work, to compose music which he hopes to release for performance and to better prepare himself for college in Arizona a year from now. Her husband, Paul, continues to teach in the public school system.
When Bev isn't busy at BANDI she is enjoying Yoga, Nia, Zumba fitness classes and spending time in in the outdoors walking/hiking in her local neighborhood and parks with her husband, Paul.
Bev switches back and forth between the Large Pocket Belt and the Wrap. Her current favorite Large Pocket Belt pattern is Shadow Garden and her favorite Wrap pattern is Celestial.
I am fortunate to have had a career that I love, developing products and managing brands so I have always considered work to be a hobby. I also enjoy staying current on films and music. These are passions and areas of study for my sons and a big part of family discussions. - Bev
At BANDI, Beth oversees all internet sales, direct to consumer events and expos. With her background in film and video, Beth enjoys photography and video as it relates to the business.
This year, Beth made a goal to run a 5k every month.
"It is fun searching each month for the 5K I want to run and so far, my time has improved each race, although that is not really the goal. Just want to get out and have some fun!"
When the business started Beth's 3 kids were in high school. Now, Beth has a daughter who just graduated from law school, another daughter working in marketing research and her son is a senior in college and will be getting a BS in Nursing!
In her free time, Beth enjoys pottery wheel throwing, bicycling, hiking with her dogs, yoga, gardening, traveling, tennis and just started to play Pickleball!
I have many BANDIbelts! I love them for running, hiking and bicycling. I wear both the large pocket belt and the wrap (I have a big phone!) and I'm excited about our new BANDI ball band which holds tennis balls and pickle balls making it easier when you don’t have a pocket! (and trust me, it is hard to find tennis apparel that has pockets!) - Beth
