Happy Earth Day!

The owners and employees of BANDI Wear share many things.  We are busy moms,  we come from diverse creative backgrounds, we work hard and believe in quality products and services, and we are all very eco-conscious.  We live simple lives and strive to care for our planet both in our personal lives and in the office.

Knowing that Earth Day was around the corner, we got  to thinking, "what is our responsibility to the planet?"  Since being founded in the 70's, Earth Day has been celebrated to build awareness of the fragility of the planet.  Earth Day founder Gaylord Nelson, then a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, witnessed the ravages of the 1969 massive oil spill in Santa Barbara, California, and decided to take action on behalf of the planet.

Together, we can all help the planet. Here just some of the ways BANDI is working together to GO GREEN.

Plastic:   We receive our products from our factory in plastic bags, save them up, and ship them back to our factory to reuse again and again. :)
Boxes: We give away our boxes to be reused or reuse them ourselves!
Choices: We recently decided to switch our packing from plastic to paper which is both a biodegradable and recyclable option.
Recycling: We sort our office trash and recyclables and take them to the appropriate facilities.

So strap on your BANDI belt and let's all help making our planet a better place!
